Welcome comic fans! Thanks for coming back to check out the second part of my Dallas Comic Con write up. You can read about the convention and my experience there in the first part. Today is all about the cosplay! From Friday through Sunday there were lots of great costumes on hand, including some truly incredible builds. Friday was a small showing all around at the convention, but Saturday brought out the amazing hard work of some truly dedicated cosplayers. Sunday I joined in on the fun and mingled with some fellow DC characters. Anyway, that’s all you’ll find here. Though I did want to make one note that I forgot in my first article. There were some weird inconsistencies with weapons check. There was a “no metal” rule, which had some shield-wielding characters denied their main prop. Bow-and-arrow wielding characters who were not handled similarly. And times when no one manned the weapons check table at all. Some clear-cut, written out rules (particularly if offered ahead of time) would help a lot. Enough of that. On to the cosplay! Now, I took WAY more photos than I could possibly share, so I’m going to be posting my favorites here. If you want to see ALL of them, you can hit up my DCC 2014 album on Facebook.
Well, that’s a wrap! Also, I tried to credit as many people as I could without listing personal names/websites, but if you want to be credited to your photo here, just give me the info and I’ll add it in! Thanks for all the amazing cosplayers for coming out, and to North Texas Cosplay for the very useful Cosplayer Hideaway (and for helping me credit some of these fab creations). And, of course, to Dallas Comic Con!
