The art in Aquaman #6 by Walker, Hennessey & Eltaeb is awesome. Great detail, good depth and dimension to the panels and fabulous action sequences. The fight between Arthur, Mera, and Superman was a classic. Nice choreography throughout. This fight alone is worth a pick up!
I loved Abnet’s dialogue between Clark and Arthur. Abnet reveals that Aquaman feels like he is a minority within a minority. Two sub-groups exist within the Justice League: Superman, Batman & Wonder Woman. And the second being The Flash, Green Lantern and Cyborg. Arthur is left on the outside of both groups. He is anoutsider as an ocean-dweller and to the world as he rules, Atlantis. Aquaman is sick of this. Especially from those who are supposed to be his friends.
This is a great comic and a good character piece. I would also say that this is a key issue. Lines are drawn and words are spoken that cannot be taken back. I love where this story is going and can’t wait for the next issue. If you’re an Aquaman fan this issue is a must.
