From the moment this weekly series began, Jason Bard has stood out as being a potentially dangerous individual. He has had a relatively short rise to power, he positioned himself into a position of power, and he has a member of the press at his side. He has positioned himself to become an integral individual in Gotham’s everyday operations, and given the reveal in this week’s issue, things are slowly starting to fall into place. This issue marks the return of a couple villains from Batman’s past, both of whom wreaked a tremendous amount of havoc the last time they were around. While their return is an exciting turn of events for the series, it also presents the problem of whether or not the series has too many of Batman’s villains appearing. With every new issue, it seems, another one of Gotham’s finest villains pops in, even if it’s just for a brief moment it is starting to seem like the writers have made an effort to try and fit in as many of them as they can. 4/5

When it comes to time travel, you would think the Flash has learned his lesson not to meddle in things. The last time he time traveled, Flashpoint happened and the world ended up with the New52. Who knows what will happen this time around. In the meantime, present day Flash continues doing what he does best – saving the day and helping Iris. Realizing the person who was going around killing a group of criminals is a cop, Barry jumps into action and takes him down. During the fight, however, we start to see how the Speedforce is starting to break down. For a while now we’ve been seeing how Barry keeps losing time. He speeds off for seconds, but it turns into minutes in reality and he has no explanation for it. The issue does end on a positive note, even if it involves bribery, with Barry taking Wally and Iris to visit Danny, so that Danny can implore his nephew to stay away from the criminal path. 4/5
