After two months and 8 issues, Convergence has come to an end. So what lingering effects does this event have on the current DC Universe, all signs point to none. While the ending is left fairly ambiguous, it would appear that although the other worlds continue to exist, they exist in a completely separate universe than our current one. Convergence suffered early on from being chaotic, poorly written, and inconsistently illustrated. Unfortunately, as the series progressed, the main title continued to struggle with the same issues. In retrospect, the entire series seemed to exist for on purpose only, and that purpose was to bring back Earth-2. Convergence was a potentially decent idea that was just executed poorly. The only bright side to all of this, is that in the future writers potentially have the chance to revisit some of these universes and to revisit some of these characters who are either drastically different or even non-existant in the New 52 Universe. 2/5
