Chaos and destruction have come to Gotham City once again. Whether it was a part of the plan or just a major accident, Arkham Asylum is completely demolished after the Spectre makes an appearance. Unfortunately, that just happens to be where Alfred, and a couple hundred other individuals, are currently trapped. This issue is actually a fairly straightforward, fast, simple read. The Spectre appears, sort of saves the day, and Arkham falls. The scenario definitely would have been tense, had Alfred not already been revealed to be alive in the ongoing series. That being said, it will be interesting to see how they are able to move past this without a large list of casualties. 3.5/5

From the moment she was introduced, Capucine has been a tremendous asset to this title. Charles Soule has done such a tremendous job slowly developing her character, and it’s a shame that she had to die now that her 1000 years are up. In his defense, though, Soule does a beautiful job of tying her life to the Green, effectively allowing Swamp Thing to take her into the Green upon her death. This issue is a perfect example of just how great Soule has been on this book. He was able to incorporate humor and action into an otherwise somber issue. It will be nice to see just what type of role she plays now that she’s dead. 4.5/5
