Action Comics #20 (DC)
NickZ: Not as good as the last issue but at least it’s interesting.
Age of Ultron #7 (Marvel)
Jeff: I’m officially tired of alternate futures.
All-New X-Men #11 (Marvel)
Andy: Thank you Stuart Immonen for drawing Wolverine ugly. Great Cuckoo moments, but I have a bad feeling about Jean Grey…
Arnab: Ha! Take that Jean Grey! A
Jeff: If they hadn’t screwed up the reveal, this issue would have been even better.
NickZ: Can this book get any better? A lot of Jean Grey development going on in this issue and how sweet that both Cyclops came to her rescue, awww!
Animal Man #20 (DC)
Arnab: Loved this issue! I’m gonna miss that Cliff. A
Dr. Bustos: I enjoyed the return of Buddy’s film and the end bit quite a lot. Got me wanting to stick with the book for a little while longer. A
Batman: Detective Comics #20 (DC)
Arnab: Oh Cobblepot, you weird fat man. Someone should write a story about why he looks like a penguin. A-
NickZ: The “Emperor Penguin” story comes to a bit of an anti-climatic ending, but I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of this dude.
Batwing #20 (DC)
Andy: The inky lines play nice with the colors during fight scenes. There’s potential here, even if Batman laughed a few times.
NickZ: The book definitely has a new feel to it with a new Batwing, but is a good thing? Jury is still out on this one.
Green Arrow #20 (DC)
Andy: The cemetery fight scene was cool, but COME ON! An arrow in the eye would kill a man. There’s a brain, like, right there.
Arnab: I‘m just a little on the fence with this one. B
Dr. Bustos: I can’t get into Komodo but it looks like he may go away for a little while. C+
Hawkeye #10 (Marvel)
Dr. Bustos: Still one of my favorite books and a great story about this killer of a beloved new character. A
Indestructible Hulk #7 (Marvel)
Andy: So good! Mark Waid’s convinced me he’s having a blast with this series, and if he isn’t, he’s a good liar.
Jeff: Ok, they lost me on this one.
Iron Man #9 (Marvel)
Andy: Checked back in with this one after the lackluster opening arc and it delivered. A good jumping on point. Eaglesham > Land
Invincible Universe #2 (Image)
NickZ: So basically ever single superhero in the Invincible Universe shows up in a double page spread! Pretty awesome.
Red She-Hulk #65 (Marvel)
Dr. Bustos: They fought a security system that used some of the nastiest villians and then went into Mount Rushmore. A
Sesame Street #1 (Ape Entertainment)
Andy: Breaks the accepted norm of comics being a singular experience. It’s written in a way to engage your child – it’s fun!
Shadowman #0 (Valiant)
Andy: The art really punched it home — the bad guys are making this book work for me.
Sonic the Hedgehog #248 (Archie)
Andy: “Worlds Collide” continues being a lot of fun — it feels natural. Both Sonic & Mega Man get their shots in, too!
Superior Spider-Man #9 (Marvel)
Jeff: ‘Bout time. This is what I wished they had done in the beginning when Ock took over.
NickZ: I loved the choices Dan Slott is making! Not gonna lie though, this was sadder than Amazing Spider-Man #700.
Ten Grand #1 (Image)
Arnab: It started off a little slow for me, but by the end it got me wanting a second issue. B+
Andy: I’m into it. Read it twice to pick up on what I missed the first time through. The last panel on the 2nd to last page… man.
Thanos Rising #2 (Marvel)
Jeff: Yeah. That’s one messed up kid.
X-Factor #255 (Marvel)
Arnab: Anyone else think they should just take some of that wolf-boy’s blood and make blood bullets? I feel like that should work. B+
Jeff: Please end this story. Quickly.
NickZ: With this series coming to an end in a few issues, pretty much anything can happen now. Can’t wait to see how Peter David wraps it all up.
X-Men Legacy #10 (Marvel)
NickZ: I know that many do not like this book, but I think it is great. I actually like Legion for the first time ever.
