All-New X-Factor #3 (Marvel)
Arnab: I am loving the shit out of this.
Infinite Speech: Great issue with several surprises that has me back on board now!
Jeff: I’m not really digging this new X-Factor. What is up with their horrible costumes?
NickZ: Dear X-Force, this is how you do a relaunch the correct way.
All-New X-Men #23 (Marvel)
Arnab: Seriously though, the Shi’ar have always been scum. I’m hoping Jean gets revenge for the death of her entire family.
Infinite Speech: I want to like it but the Shi’Ar are acting SO out of character. Hopefully there’s some other malevolent force behind it all.
Jeff: I’m not convinced that putting Jean on trial for crimes she hasn’t committed is a viable thing to do, but damn, this story feels just like the original Phoenix story.
NickZ: Hilarious interaction between the OG X-Men and the GotG, moving encounter between Jean Grey and Oracle, and a surprising resurrection! This issue has it all! Plus, Iceman reveals his desire to be a Disney Princess.
Avengers #26 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Remember when the Avengers were taken at their word? Yeah, those days are looooong gone now.
Batgirl #28 (DC)
NickZ: Babs squares off with a guy who believes that the Bat-Family are actually Vampires! I think Strix was a great addition to this issue, hope she sticks around in this book for a bit.
Batman #28 (DC)
Arnab: Bluebird? Really? I miss Damian.
Dr. Bustos: I’ve wanted Harper on the team since her first appearance and this story is looking very interesting.
Jeff: WTF? Why did they drop this story in the middle of another story? I was so confused. This is why I really hate DC.
Jeff Lake: Though I hate waiting another month for more Zero Year, the look ahead was intriguing, especially that last page reveal!
Martin: 4.5/5 stars. A nice break from Zero Year to take a mid-stream look at Batman Eternal. Tons of Spoilers!
NickZ: If this is any indication, Batman Eternal is going to be frigging sweet! Everything was right about this issue and Dustin Nguyen did a great job giving this book a different feel from Capullo’s “Zero Year” stuff.
Batman Li’l Gotham #11 (DC)
NickZ: A nice Wayne/Al Ghul family reunion first story. Followed by an awesome Temple Fugate story which unites a team of alternate-earth Batmen that you won’t want to miss.
Bunker #1 (Oni Press)
Martin: 4.5/5 stars. A perfect match of story & art, with a mysterious,. intriguing plot that’s got me interested in learning more.
City: The Mind on the Machine #1 (IDW/Darby Pop)
@DecapitatedDan: Freaking fantastic start. Love this concept, and the visuals are amazing. Futuristic Sci-Fi story done right. 4.5/5
Coffin Hill #5 (Vertigo)
@DecapitatedDan: The more the mystery builds, the better this comic gets. Love the art and story. Still early to jump on board in case you have been missing out. 4.5/5
Crossed: Badlands #47 (Avatar Press)
@DecapitatedDan: How sick can some people be? Love this arc by Daniel Way, showing off how power and hopelessness can lead to some horrendous thinking. 4.5/5
Deadpool #23 (Marvel)
NickZ: With one of the grossest covers i’ve ever seen, this issue sees a more brutal Deadpool getting his revenge and perhaps releasing some of his feels in the only way he knows how…killing.
Eternal Warrior #6 (Valiant)
Infinite Speech: Another great issue…but I’m sad now.
Fatale #20 (Image)
Dr. Bustos: We’re so into the dark that I don’t think the sun exists here anymore.
Justice League of America #12 (DC)
Martin: 3.5/5 stars. I love Stargirl but the pacing of this storyline has just been sluggish. Get to it already.
NickZ: Martian Manhunter provides Star Girl with hope she needs to save the day, but at what cost?
Marvel Knights X-Men #4 (Marvel)
NickZ: The art on this book is really great and the story is pretty decent with the X-Men facing some of their darkest fears given life thanks to a new, young mutant.
Nightwing #28 (DC)
Arnab: Seriously though, they better not kill Nightwing.
Martin: 4/5 stars. Rushed pacing to tie-off old storylines before the series ends, but some great moments art & story-wise.
NickZ: Nightwing witnesses a young girl going through the same horrible circumstances that lead him to becoming Robin, but can he help her as well as Bruce did?
Rachel Rising #23 (Abstract Studios)
@DecapitatedDan: Why does it feel like things are ending? They better not be, or I’ll cause all kinds of hell! The ending in this issue left me breathless. There is nothing better then R.R. 5/5
Infinite Speech: I usually don’t stick around for too many horror titles but DAMN is this one good!
Jeff: I read this at the precise moment the power went out at our house during a winter storm. Great timing there, Terry Moore!
Robocop: To Live And Die In Detroit #1 (BOOM!)
Infinite Speech: Not sure exactly where this is headed but it was fun.
Royals: Masters of War #1 (DC)
Martin: 4/5 stars. A really interesting premise with some fantastic scenes of World War II action. Excited for more.
Secret Avengers #15 (Marvel)
Jeff: This was a really solid issue! The intensity is high and image inducers should always be used as a plot device.
She-Hulk #1 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Nothing wrong here but She-Hulk might not be for me in the end.
Jeff: Not for me.
Jeff Lake: Not at all what you think, and that’s a good thing. Soule is quietly rocking every book he writes.
The Sixth Gun #38 (Oni Press)
@DecapitatedDan: FANTASTIC ISSUE!!! Of course a few were lost, but man is this arc building to something big! Simply put, this is one of the best comics in print. 4.5/5
Smallville Alien #3 (DC)
NickZ: It looks like the Crisis of Infinite Earths has begun! Can Clark, Lex, and Batman stop the multiverse from being destroyed?
Spawn #240 (Image)
Infinite Speech: McFarlane & Kudranski can do NO wrong since teaming up for this classic Image title!
Star Wars #14 (Dark Horse)
Infinite Speech: If I had to spend 5 days alone with Vader I’d have very full boxers indeed.
Stitched #19 (Avatar Press)
@DecapitatedDan: The end? Bull$^*~! You don’t end a series that is this good. This issue is GORE-Geous, in both art and story. A perfect creative team. #NeedMoreStitched 5/5
Superboy #28 (DC)
NickZ: Honestly, I don’t even care what is going on in this book anymore.
Superior Spider-Man #27.1 (Marvel)
Dr. Bustos: Things are falling apart and exploding at the same time, more please.
Jeff: It’s about to get real for Otto.
Infinite Speech: I don’t know if I’d want to come back at this point in Spidey’s career Peter. Poop hit the fan in another great issue!
NickZ: Spider Ock and Green Goblin go head to head and brain to brain in a game of “who’s smarter”, winner claims the city.
Superman Wonder Woman #5 (DC)
NickZ: Wonder Woman kicks some major Kryptonian ass and Superman proves to just be a liability.
Think Tank #12 (Top Cow)
Infinite Speech: Start strong and finish stronger! Season One was damn near perfect!
NickZ: The shit hits the fan as World War III is about to begin in the finale of Think Tank’s “first season”. Do yourself a favor and get caught in the trades before the next fantastically smart and scarily realistic chapter of Think Tank begins!
Thor: God of Thunder #19.1 (Marvel)
Dr. Bustos: Thor messing with super rich jerks is great and soothes me.
Jeff: Oh, Esad Ribic, please always draw this book!
Jeff Lake: Esad Ribic could illustrate a comic about paint drying and I’d still buy it. With great scope and a HUGE final page, this series is a must read.
The Walking Dead #121 (Image)
Jeff: This was a bit of a filler issue. I’m ready for the action to start again!
NickZ: Things are not looking good for our heroes. Let’s hope Rick can rally the troops and turn things around.
Winter Soldier: The Bitter March #1 (Marvel)
Jeff Lake: Not much is seen of the titular character thus far, but this is one thriller to watch. Also, worms, Remender? Gross.
Wolverine & the X-Men #41 (Marvel)
Dr. Bustos: Did I just feel bad for Toad? Things are getting complicated.
Infinite Speech: Jason Aaron has revealed how to get Bamf poop off of wall! Thank him and offer a sacrifice if you’re so inclined!
Jeff: The X-Men are the biggest bunch of hypocrites! Vote Toad for Janitor!
NickZ: Wolverine and his X-Men reject Toad and send him back down the path of villainy. Way to go Logan, you’re batting a thousand.
X-Force #1 (Marvel)
Arnab: This was not good. I miss Cable and the X-Force.
Infinite Speech: I’m starting to regret that wish I made as a kid for more X titles.
Jeff: I’ve seen a lot of X-Force books in my day. This one was the absolute worst.
NickZ: What a steaming pile of poop. I would rather have either of those pervious X-Force books continue (preferably Cable and X-Force), than this piece of crap.
X-Men Legacy #24 (Marvel)
NickZ: A very ambitious ending to the story of David Haller, I’m not sure how the repercussions of this issue will effect the other X-books, if at all, or how long until these events are undone.
