Jeff: The idea that Peter is laid up in a criminal hospital with burns all over his body is just wacky enough to make me forget that this is numbering is ridiculous.
Archer & Armstrong #16 (Valiant)
Infinite Speech: This is one of the best titles to hit the shelves all year! Read Archer & Armstrong now!
Jeff: I laugh just about every time Armstrong is in a panel.
Astro City #7 (Vertigo)
Martin:The start of a new story arc focusing on the origin of one of Astro City’s heroes. A fun read with good art.
A+X #15 (Marvel)
NickZ: My annoyance of Beast made the first story hard to stomach.
Batgirl #26 (DC)
Arnab: Never turn down the chance to learn the true identity of a superhero, never!
Martin: Finally, the conclusion to the Wanted storyline. Some touching moments between Barbara & her dad. Very well written.
NickZ: A darker Babs, pushed to her limit, rushes to save the very man who wants to take her down, her own father!
Batman #26 (DC)
Arnab: How can the city still not have electricity, I feel like it’s been weeks.
Dr. Bustos: I wasn’t expecting an origin of Gordon’s coat, but I like it.
Jeff: In case you were wondering, Dr. Death’s dialogue should sound like this: “ROOSCH? ROOSCH AYNE? UHM OW ISHTA AYNE!” Because of the…you know…giant teeth and no lips.
Jeff Lake: For a Riddler story it’s sure pretty Riddler-less. Dr. Death proves a passable filler.
Martin: A strong continuation of the Zero Year storyline, but there is a lot going on. Riddler barely even mentioned.
NickZ: Bruce and Gordon have words and it isn’t nice!
Batman: Black & White #4 (DC)
Martin: I’ve liked this book but many of the stories in this one feel rushed. Great art by Dustin Nguyen.

Arnab: All aboard the Forge/Dr. Nemesis broship!

Jeff: I would like this a lot more if I remembered what happened in the first issue.
Jeff: They could spin off a Forge/Dr. Nemesis team book and I’d be just fine with that.
NickZ: The team proves they can hold their own and how bad ass is Dr. Nemesis?
Cataclysm Ultimate Spider-Man #2 (Marvel)
Jeff: Two things I love: That Bendis gave us a surprise twist at the end of this book, and that Marquez’s Galactus silhouette makes a giant purple man look terrifying.

Arnab: Everytime they bring up Toni, I get sad.
Jeff: The non-linear storytelling of this book is magnificent. Some of the best I’ve ever seen.
NickZ: If you do not read Chew you are doing yourself a disservice.

Martin: Some great lines, but the inking is too heavy-handed & thick. Blight in physical form is not very scary.

Infinite Speech: Things just keep spiraling downwards for Jackie and now I’m not too fond of Hope either.

Arnab: I really wish this came out regularly, because it is fantastic.

Arnab: Hot damn that’s good. Justin Jordan and Mateo Scalera knock it right out of the park. This is fantastic.

Jeff Lake: Promising start to the new arc as Rucka builds his bleak world even more. This is some great stuff.

NickZ: This was the perfect “girls night out” issue ever. Uncanny X-Men just does it better than that other all female X-Book.

Jeff Lake: I love this book. Kindt’s ability to utilize multiple characters in effective ways makes for one hell of a story.

NickZ: Wolverine kills people and gets beat up a lot. He really is even crappier without that healing factor. I’m rooting for Sabretooth.

NickZ: Wolverine kills people and can’t remember stuff. So…the usual.
Wolverine and the X-Men #39 (Marvel)
Dr. Bustos: I really love Broo and there’s a panel in here that breaks my heart to see his reaction.
Infinite Speech: Logan’s students are SO much better than Scott’s! When the series focuses on them it’s a lot better too!
Jeff: Nice to see Scott and Logan fighting together again. Can we please wrap up the whole “schism” now?
NickZ: Cyclops throws so much shade in this issue, I think he’s one upped Emma. I love it when he calls Wolverine, ‘Professor”.
