Angela Queen of Hel #1 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Under Bennett’s hand, Angela has been one of the best additions to the Marvel Universe and we find out what rhymes with “bioluminescent”!
Batman & Robin Eternal #4 (DC)
Arnab: I’m actually enjoying this more than I enjoyed Batman Eternal, which I very much enjoyed.
Infinite Speech: Could have done without all of the bickering but it was good to see We Are Robin in this issue.
Martin: 3.5/5 stars. Cool seeing the kids from We Are Robin, & an interesting reveal at the end.
Black Magick #1 (Image)
Martin: 4/5 stars. Story-wise, this is a “1st issue” so it needs time to build. But the art & coloring are absolutely amazing.
Book of Death #4 (Valiant)
Infinite Speech: Knowing Gilad is getting his own series kind of took away some impact but I can’t wait to see the new Geomancer in action.
Captain America: Sam Wilson #2 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Remender and Acuna do another solid issue but how strong is Redwing again? He carried a full grown man in the sky?!
Cyborg #4 (DC)
Infinite Speech: So Vic’s dad is a jerk on another Earth too? Surprise, surprise.
Martin: 3/5 stars. Tons of exposition this issue which makes the read a bit of a chore. Great to see the Metal Men in the New 52 though!
Flash #45 (DC)
Arnab: Captain Frye is kind of a dick.
Martin: 3.5/5 stars. Nothing much new – more about Zoom’s plan to destroy the Flash. Capt Frye’s change of view on Flash is too sudden.
Gotham by Midnight #10 (DC)
Martin: 4/5 stars. The supernatural art is the major draw here, but the story is also going strong toward the finish line.
He-Man: The Eternity War #11 (DC)
Infinite Speech: DC and Abnett have done some great work with the MOTU characters and it keeps getting better!
IX Generation #6 (Top Cow)
Infinite Speech: Holy $#@! Did Ares just get the Darkness?! Things are going to end badly.
Justice Legue: Darkseid War: Batman #1 (DC)
Infinite Speech: I’m really confused as to when this is taking place since Bruce is Bats and Gordan looks 75 instead of 40.
Martin: 4/5 stars. A great depiction of what Bruce Wayne would do with access to all knowledge.
Kanan: The Last Padawan #7 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: A Star Wars series worth buying whether you’re a Rebels fan or not.
Robin: Son of Batman #5 (DC)
Martin: 3/5 stars. The story so far has been chaotic and all over the place, and this issue does nothing to resolve that.
Shaft: A Complicated Man TPB (Dynamite)
Infinite Speech: David Walker needs to do more Shaft comics. Oh, wait he is! Pick this up!
Spawn #257 (Image)
Infinite Speech: Not much happens but Kudranski makes it all look creepy and great!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #51 (IDW)
Arnab: I’m excited to see where this series goes next.
Infinite Speech: Following up last issue is a hard task as this issue was basically a set up for the new direction.
We Are Robin #5 (DC)
Arnab: This book works so much better when it focuses on fewer people.
Infinite Speech: Another solid issue that moves better with the smaller cast of Robins.
