Welcome to Chirpin’ Tuesday Reviews. Here you can find out what we here at ComicAttack.net thought of this past week’s books in 140 characters or less! Make sure to come back each week to see what we have to say about the latest comics!
The Amazing Spider-Man #628 (Marvel)
Andy: Captain Universe wasn’t the only one Spidey annoyed to no end in this issue…
Aron: Much better than last issue. I enjoyed it. Glad there is one more to the story. The backup story was WAY COOL!
American Vampire #2 (Vertigo)
Andy: This series has the potential to become my favorite Vertigo title currently being published.
Aron: Brilliant! A great horror comic. Making me a fan of Vertigo.
Billy: Ugh, definitely should have skipped this one! Wimpy story and forgettable art.
Azrael #7 (DC)
Andy: Wasn’t liking it until the last few pages. The art is really bringing this series down.
Aron: This is good stuff! It’s like DC’s Ghost Rider. The covers have always been gorgeous, too!
Batman: Streets of Gotham #11 (DC)
Andrew: Cool finish to a cool story. I’m really starting to love Damian.
The Brave and the Bold #33 (DC)
Andrew: I can not believe how surprisingly powerful this issue is. Straczynski is incredible.
Andy: Woah.
Captain America: Who Won’t Wield the Shield? #1 (Marvel)
Aron: *insert crickets chirping* *insert cartoonish eye-blinking sound effect* Umm…
Billy: Who Wont Wield the Shield – Gi-Normous WASTE OF MONEY!
Infinite Speech: Samuel L. Jackson as a space pirate and not as much cursing as one would expect
Crossed: Family Values #1 (Avatar)
Decapitated Dan: Hello darkness my old friend. I see you kicking ass again.
Dark Wolverine #85 (Marvel)
Andy: I’m interested and the art looks good, but we’ll see what happens…
Infinite Speech: Daken needs therapy but a decent read so far and hopefully it’ll get better than decent soon.
Jeff: Lots of the same with Wolverine’s weird plan. But I liked what happened in the last panel, even if it doesn’t last.
Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth #10 (Marvel)
Aron: Never thought I would say this, but this was a boring ‘pool issue! Get the show in the road already!
Devil #3 (Dark Horse)
Decapitated Dan: Read this story, love this story and petition to get more of this story.
DoomWar #3 (Marvel)
Andy: Where’d the X-Men go? Without them the DoomWar just got a little less interesting.
Billy: Things are looking bad for Black Panther and the X-Men.
Infinite Speech: Too many people are sleepin’ on this entire story, WAKE UP!!!
DV8 #1 (Wildstorm)
Andy: Was talked into checking this one out and was blown away!
Fall of the Hulks: Savage She Hulks #2 (Marvel)
Aron: A nice little off-shoot. But is it really necessary? Let’s get on with the show, y’all. Damn!
G.I. Joe #17 (IDW)
Andy: With all the exposition out of the way, Chuck Dixon finally starts to make GI Joe his own. A solid issue.
Aron: It is starting to pick up steam again. Definitely better than last issue!
Infinite Speech: Destro is pissed and Snake Eyes is coming back all in all a fun read
Green Lantern #53 (DC)
Andrew: It’s been a long time since I could call a GL title ‘meh’, but the ending got me really excited.
Andy: Don’t be that guy who’s like “I got burnt out on Blackest Night so I’m skipping Brightest Day” because you’ll regret it. You’ve been warned.
Aron: Nothing awesome here. Just kinda plain.
Infinite Speech: Helluva lot better than Brightest Day #0
Guardians of the Galaxy #25 (Marvel)
Andy: Not for me.
Aron: Ooh! I love me some “original” Guardians! I want them more! BRING ON THE NEXT CHAPTER!
Billy: Thanos defeated already?!?!
Hercules Fall of an Avenger #2 (Marvel)
Andy: Soooo…Amadeus Cho is the new Tim Drake now, huh?
Joe the Barbarian #4 (Vertigo)
Andy:“The Lord of the Rings” meets “I Kill Giants” and Grant Morrison’s unique touch of brilliance.
John Constantine: Hellblazer #266 (Vertigo)
Aron: Nice, dark stuff. John is taking up residence on my pull list now. Vertigo is winning me over.
Justice League of America #44 (DC)
Andrew: I’m still not sure why I’m reading this book. All it does is disappoint me.
Andy: So the JLA has their own version of the “Danger Room” now and they’re calling it “The Kitchen”. Yeah. That aboutsums it up right there.
Infinite Speech: WHY AM I PUNISHING MYSELF BY STILL BUYING THIS BOOK?!
The Magdalena #1 (Top Cow)
Andy: Checked it out on a whim and holy hell was I impressed! Gorgeous art and a spooky plot makes this one a God-send!
Infinite Speech: Good start so let’s see if Marz and Nelson Blake II can keep building on that
Nova #36 (Marvel)
Andy: The headline reads as a “Lead-In to the Thanos Imperative” but I say it’s imperative that you don’t waste your time.
Aron: It’s critical you pay attention at this time! This title has always been badass. It better not go away…
Siege: Spider-Man #1 (Marvel)
Andy: Lame. Lame. Lame.
Billy: Cool one-shot starring Ms. Marvel and Venom.
Sif #1 (Marvel)
Andy: Um, why wasn’t this a mini-series? It was great!
The Spirit #1 (DC)
Andrew: I’m interested in DC’s ‘First Wave’ concept, but this issue nearly put me to sleep.
Aron: Good pulpy crimey stuff. I’m glad they started a new series. Never could get in on the last one. LCS always sold out.
Ultimate Avengers #6 (Marvel)
Andy: So bad ass. I love what happens to Red Skull…both times!
Aron: I don’t really know the point of this book. I’ve been lost since #1. It’s no Ultimates either.
Infinite Speech: In any universe Nick Fury has an alterior motive and is basically a jerk
Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #9 (Marvel)
Andy: So THAT’S why Peter’s head looks so round in the Spidey suit!
X-Factor #204 (Marvel)
Andy: Holy shit.
Jeff: I love how PAD tied in Second Coming into the Baron Mordo story. Can’t wait to see what happens next issue!
X-Men Legacy #235 (Marvel)
Andy: So awesome. Greg Land’s art actually looked…pretty good. And I could care less about who croaked.
Billy: Cameron Hodge is on a rampage. Well, at least for a little while.
Jeff: 20 years later, Warlock finally gets revenge on Cameron Hodge!
X-Men: Pixie Strikes Back #3 (Marvel)
Andy: I want to like it, I really do. The art is great but the story…I mean come on: Pixie’s related to the Wyngarde sisters? Jeez.

I wish I got my books each week and could participate more, but then I see what most of you read and I throw up a little bit 😉
I dropped Justice League of America a couple of years ago. I’m glad to see it wasn’t a stupid move.
@Andy- Hpw dare you talk bad about Guardians!
Justice League was actually a decent read a couple of years ago I’m not sure what’s happening now but it’s been one fast downhill ride for a while…I actually just called my LCS and cut this from my pull list lol
