A&A: The Adventures of Archer & Armstrong #8 (Valiant)
Infinite Speech: Going to put this one down until it gets fun for me again.
All-New Wolverine #13 (Marvel)
NickZ: Gabby was right, a cabin in the woods is always the start of a horror movie.
Amazing Spider-Man #19 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: This issue was a kick in the gut to Peter and Jonah. This title has become worth reading again.
Aquaman #8 (DC)
Infinite Speech: I recommended this title to someone. It’s official that I’m an Aquaman fan now because of Abnett and Eaton!
Batman #8 (DC)
Arnab: I’m not 100% sure how I feel about Batwoman’s role here, on the other hand I am digging Duke.
Martin: 4/5 stars. It’s fun seeing Duke continue to be part of the new Bat family, and even more fun seeing a semi-reformed Clayface.
NickZ: Did Batman & Clayface just pull a Finn & Jake from Adventure Time?
Big Trouble In Little China / Escape From New York #1 (BOOM!)
Infinite Speech: This was just so much fun!
Black #1 (Black Mask)
Infinite Speech: Kwanza Osajyefo & Jamal Igle deliver what you’ve been asking for in an exciting and socially relevant story! Get your hands on this now!
Bloodshot Reborn #18 (Valiant)
Infinite Speech: Bloodshot has risen to be not just a top Valiant title but a top title period!
Cage! #1 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Who the hell was the target audience for this waste of paper? Who??
Champions #1 (Marvel)
Arnab: This feels very much like the Young Avengers did way back when, and by that I mean it’s great.
Infinite Speech: This was the last issue I thought I’d like but here I am giving it some props. Check it out!
NickZ: I really actually enjoyed this book. Heroes getting back into being heroes again.
Cyborg #2 (DC)
Infinite Speech: Started shakey but did improve by the end. We’ll see what happens next.
Martin: 3.5/5 stars. Poor Vic just can’t seem to catch a break. This issue suffers from way to much villain monologuing.
Deadman: Dark Mansion of Forbidden Love #1 (DC)
Martin: 4.5/5 stars. A haunting ghost story with beautiful art & colors by Medina & Villarrubia.
Deadpool Back in Black #1 (Marvel)
NickZ: Everything you love about the 80’s, Deadpool, and Spider-Man all rolled into one!
Deadpool & the Mercs For Money #4 (Marvel)
NickZ: New band of unsavories, same great taste!
Death of Hawkman #1 (DC)
Martin: 4/5 stars. An interesting idea featuring some of my favorite characters, but this issue is more about Adam Strange.
Death of X #1 (Marvel)
Arnab: If only Marvel cared more about comics and less about movies. All hail Cyclops, the greatest hero the mutants never deserved. #byemarvel
Infinite Speech: This left me speechless and not in a good way.
NickZ: So Marvel is totally making the X-Men the villains AGAIN, when in fact, they are the victims. #MutantLivesMatter
Doctor Strange #12 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: The magic gum was a nice touch in another good issue.
NickZ: Strange’s rogues have smelled blood and are circling like vultures, but don’t worry, he has a magic apple, no really!
Green Arrow #8 (DC)
Martin: 4/5 stars. Seeing the Ollie/Dinah relationship back in comics again is awesome. Otto Schmidt’s art is a huge bonus as well.
Green Lanterns #8 (DC)
Martin: 4.5/5 stars. Writer Humphries delivers a great relationship between Jess & Baz, and Ed Benes provides cool creatures.
Green Valley #1 (Image)
NickZ: This book is incredible! Don’t miss out, I’m already all in!
He-Man/Thundercats #1 (DC)
Infinite Speech: The team-up you never saw coming and the results make for a solid first issue. Lets see where it goes from here!
Jessica Jones #1 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: One of my favorite reads this week and now I want to know what happened
Martin: 4.5/5 stars. Apparently you get more out of this if you’ve read the old series. I haven’t, but still found it a great read
Justice League #6 (DC)
Martin: 4/5 stars. A clever way to get to some real character work – “defeating” the villain in the first few pages.
NickZ: It only took six issue for superheroes to start fighting superheroes. ugh.
Infinite Speech: It was a solid issue but I’m so tired of the hero vs hero thing now.
Nightwing #6 (DC)
Arnab: The art just looks better in this series for this crossover.
Martin: 4.5/5 stars. Probably one of the better “Night of the Monster Men” tie-ins. Solid art & creepy creature designs.
NickZ: I’m glad they made this story be more than just about the bat-family fighting monsters.
Paper Girls #10 (Image)
NickZ: No matter what the universe throws at these girls, their friendship will see them though.
Romulus #1 (Top Cow)
Infinite Speech: Secret societies, a badass mother/daughter dyamic, and a talented creative team deliver one of the finest new titles this week!
Revolution #2 (IDW)
Infinite Speech: Miles Mayhem is pulling all the strings here and it’s more fun than Civil War II!
Superman #8 (DC)
Infinite Speech: Superman and his son have a deep history lesson on Dinosaur Island and it’s actually a good issue.
Martin: 4/5 stars. A fun tribute to Darwyn Cooke using Dinosaur Island as a device to explore the relationship between Clark & Jon.
NickZ: As if I didn’t love this book enough, now they did a Dinosaur Island tribute story to Darwyn Cooke!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Universe #2 (IDW)
Infinite Speech: This seems like it’s trying to do something but it’s just not there…yet.
Uncanny X-Men #14 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Colorist David Curiel is the real hero here. Nothing else matters here.
NickZ: This book is turning the X-Men into a basket of deplorables.
The Walking Dead #159 (Image)
Arnab: I don’t know if Kirkman is trying to get me to like Negan, but it’s not happening.
NickZ: Anyone sad about Lucille needs to be beaten with her remains.
The Woods #26 (Image)
NickZ: Everyone’s individual story in this book is so well told that you are 100% emotionally invested in each of these characters.
