A&A: The Adventures of Archer & Armstrong #6 (Valiant)
Infinite Speech: The chemistry between these two isn’t as great but this was a fun issue.
A-Force #8 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: The series you shouldn’t be missing is right here!
Action Comics #961 (DC)
Martin: 4/5 stars. Lots of great character interactions & good action sequence without resorting to page after page of punching.
NickZ: This book has been a non-stop, action packed, adventure full of intrigue and mystery!
Adventure Time #55 (Boom!)
NickZ: This was worth it for the hospital full of Lemongrabs alone!
All-New X-Men #12 (Marvel)
NickZ: Damn it Marvel, the X-Men deserve better than this!
All Star Batman #1 (DC)
Arnab: It’s great to have Snyder at the helm of a Batman story again, but he’s written better.
Martin: 4/5 stars. Some really interesting ideas in here that may have come from the “Batman & Two-Face” arc in Batman & Robin.
NickZ: Um… this was… different. I’m not sure if it’s a good different or a bad different but in Scott Snyder I trust.
Batman: Detective Comics #938 (DC)
Arnab: This book is fantastic. Except, I have no idea whether or not the League of Shadows is a thing.
Martin: 4.5/5 stars. This is really a fun spin on Batman by focusing on a unique & varied crew of the Bat-family.
NickZ: I am loving this book and all the characters but the “Batman never knew about…” plot device is getting tired.
Black Monday Murders #1 (Image)
Martin: 4/5 stars. Despite the huge wealth of almost over-whelming world-building, has great characterization & art.
Black Panther #5 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: I didn’t expect this new run to be this deep and this good of a comic.
Chronicles of Hate Vol 2 (Image)
Infinite Speech: I’ve waited a long time for this and it was so very worth it!
Deadpool & the Mercs For Money #2 (Marvel)
NickZ: Slapstick and Masacre steal every panel they are in.
Deathstroke: Rebirth #1 (DC)
Infinite Speech: As long as Priest is here then so am I and so should you!
Flash #4 (DC)
Martin: 4/5 stars. Love the idea of Barry as teacher to new speedsters, & fill-in art looks good. It just needs to “speed up” the story.
Hal Jordan & the Green Lantern Corps #2 (DC)
Martin: 3.5/5 stars. I’m not a regular GL reader, but I do like this exploration of Sinestro & his daughter.
Labyrinth 30th Anniversary Special (Archaia)
Infinite Speech: A great anthology for any fan who wants to push the nostalgia button on this classic film!
Lumberjanes Gotham Academy #3 (Boom!)
NickZ: The 80’s themed party is awesome enough but the Indiana Jones reference was the best!
New Superman #2 (DC)
Martin: 4/5 stars. Pure fun – a punk kid gets Superman’s powers by the Chinese govt, then is put in his place by Chinese heroes.
Ninjak #18 (Valiant)
Infinite Speech: Ninjak is one of the hardest hitting comics from Valiant right now!
Old Man Logan #10 (Marvel)
NickZ: I’ve never cared about Wolverine more than I do in this series!
Red Hood and the Outlaws #1 (DC)
NickZ: I was skeptical about another reboot of this series but I am loving it! Dexter Soy’s art is great!
Spider-man/Deadpool #8 (Marvel)
Arnab: Dying made Spider-Man a real badass.
Superwoman #1 (DC)
Martin: 3.5/5 stars. Seems to have missed a beat as to where Superwoman got her powers, but had a fun, unexpected turn of events.
Symmetry #6 (Top Cow)
Infinite Speech: You won’t understand how socially relevant and powerfully good this series is until you read it. So read it!
NickZ: This is a fascinating theoretical sociological experiment on how races might develop and evolve if left unimpeded by one another.
Wonder Woman #4 (DC)
Martin: 4/5 stars. Rucka knows how to write Wonder Woman, & while the origin isn’t earth-shattering, the art is spectacular.
