7th Sword #4 (IDW)
Infinite Speech: You can’t learn quality sword fighting skills in a day.
Adventures of Superman #16 (DC)
NickZ: A very Morrison-like Superman story that takes place throughout time via flashbacks with various artists. Not too bad but kinda out there.
All-New X-Men #31 (Marvel)
Arnab: While I thought X-23 and Scott were cute, I dig X-23 and Warren.
Infinite Speech: That Nate Grey joke was the icing on the cake for this issue!
Jeff: That Nate Grey joke was the funniest thing I’ve read in a comic book in a long time.
NickZ: Another great issue but lets be real, all we were waiting for was that last page. Am I right?
Amazing Spider-Man #1.4 (Marvel)
Jeff: Ramon Perez is channelling Ditko in the best possible way.
Andre the Giant: Life & Legend (First Second)
Jeff: A beautifully simple biography of one of the most fascinating performers of the 20th Century.
Avengers #34 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: The Illuminati is now on the Avengers most wanted list and it’s about time!
Avengers Undercover #9 (Marvel)
Jeff: It really is a shame that this is ending so soon. I think the truncated nature of this has really hurt the story.
NickZ: Zemo springs his trap and it’s underwhelming. I feel this was rushed do to the series ending prematurely.
Batman Eternal #21 (DC)
Arnab: I knew he couldn’t be trusted.
NickZ: Things are not looking good for the Caped Crusader and his pals. I was happy to see the return of one of my favorite Bat-Villains and in very dramatic fashion, no less.
Batman Superman #13 (DC)
NickZ: Another strange, weird story arc begins here.
Black Science #8 (Image)
Martin: 4.5/5 stars. While things slow down a bit this issue, there’s still a great cliff-hanger ending & nice exposition & art.
NickZ: You think this book can’t get any better and then you read the next issue and it does!
Bob’s Burgers #1 (Dynamite)
Infinite Speech: It’s like watching the show which is just fine!
Catwoman #34 (DC)
NickZ: Catwoman is third wheel on one of the weirdest internet dates ever.
Cyclops #4 (Marvel)
Arnab: This book continues to be awesome.
Infinite Speech: Young Scott continues to impress me as does this series.
Jeff: I knew it! Mynocks taste like chicken!
NickZ: Cyclops was getting a little bit too “Luke Skywalker whiny” in this issue, but it was still good.
Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor #2 (Titan)
Jeff: Casagrande is an artist to keep your eye on!
Flash #34 (DC)
Arnab: Dear Flash, when has time travel ever worked out for you?
Infinite Speech: Problems with the Speed Force is never good but this issue was.
Genius #4 (Top Cow)
Infinite Speech: The art and story just keep getting better!
Genius #5 (Top Cow)
Infinite Speech: There’s going to be a sequel to this? HELL YEAH!!
Ghostbusters #19 (IDW)
Infinite Speech: Winston better not do what I think he’s going to do!
Guardians of the Galaxy #18 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Why is this an Original Sin tie-in since NONE of these characters were present when the eye bomb whent off?
Jeff: I really, truly miss Richard Rider.
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe #16 (DC)
Infinite Speech: That was one hell of a cliffhanger for a He-Man title!
Inhuman #4 (Marvel)
Jeff: So if Marvel isn’t making the Inhumans the new “mutants” of the 616, then I don’t know what they’re doing.
NickZ: Ryan Stegman joins this book for probably a second. Has Medusa always been this awesome of a character or is this new for her?
Low #2 (Image)
Martin: 4/5 stars. Gorgeous art accompanies a rather pessimistic story featuring an optimistic lead character. Confused? Seriously – try it!
NickZ: The first issue was great, but this one was fantastic! I love the character development, we are really getting into these people’s heads.
New 52 Futures End #17 (DC)
Martin: 4/5 stars. Continuing with last week’s trend of giving us more answers, but Superman’s reveal was a bit telegraphed.
Original Sin 5.4: Thor & Loki – The Tenth Realm #4 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: So does this mean the Serpent will be back soon as well?
Jeff: Loki is at his best when he’s swerving everyone.
NickZ: Loki and Thor prove why they are the true children of Odin and speaking of Odin…
Outcast #3 (Image)
NickZ: There is no other book out there that can create and sustain a certain mood/feel like this one. Kirkman and Azaceta are comic book “master builders”.
Saga #22 (Image)
Arnab: That’s a really, really, huge… screen you’ve got there.
Infinite Speech: Things are looking bad for our favorite couple but King Robot is probably a big hit during football season.
Jeff: Um…King Robot? Hmmm….
NickZ: S*** is getting so real! I cannot wait for the next issue.
Savage Hulk #3 (Marvel)
Jeff: A Jean Grey She-Hulk drawn by Alan Davis? Yes, please.
Sex #15 (Image)
NickZ: Where else can you see a naked dude with a full hard on about to kick some major ass with kung fu moves?
Superman #34 (DC)
Martin: 4/5 stars. Some more background on Ulysses as a parallel to Superman, an interesting new villain, plus some nice family scenes
Super Secret Crisi War #3 (IDW)
NickZ: The best thing about bringing all these characters together is seeing the great interactions between them.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time #3 (IDW)
Infinite Speech: I don’t like pirates but this was one awesome pirate story!
Uncanny Avengers #23 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Remender’s story continues to impress but the art in this issue not so much.
Jeff: I do not understand this book. At all.
NickZ: This is the most bat-s**** crazy book out there. The entire thing is too ridiculous to remain cannon.
Wayward #1 (Image)
NickZ: A great first issue! I’m completely onboard for adventures in this new world, and what a pretty world it is! Don’t miss this series it’s going to be something special.
Wolverine #12 (Marvel)
NickZ: I paid SIX BUCKS for this book and Wolverine didn’t even die?!? What a rip off!
Wolverine and the X-Men #8 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Ummm…I just can’t read this anymore until things turn around.
NickZ: What a piece of S***! The worst comic book i’ve read all year.
X-O Manowar #28 (Valiant)
Infinite Speech: So that’s where he came from! Great way to tie things together in Armor Wars!
