After the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES(TMNT) made their debut in a black-and-white comic by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird in 1984, the Heroes in a Half Shell went on to become a global phenomenon. Over the next forty years, countless talented people across the entertainment industry worked passionately with the beloved franchise, allowing adventures with new iterations of TMNT to consistently reach new audiences. Now, brilliant TMNT creatives from different eras are joining forces to present something truly special to fans: the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: 40TH ANNIVERSARY COMICS CELEBRATION.

With several new stories and pinup art pieces inspired by different eras of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, this technodrome-sized issue with more than 70 pages will feature fan-favorite creatives returning to their respective eras for all-new tales. This special one-shot issue will feature new stories and pinup art from Jim Lawson, Ciro Nieli, Tristan Jones, Paul Harmon, Steve Lavigne, Andy Suriano, Ronda Pattison, Pablo Tunica, Freddie E. Williams II, Sophie Campbell, Tom Waltz, Lloyd Goldfine, Khary Randolph, Emilio Lopez, Dan Duncan, Erik Burnham, Sarah Myer, Luis Antonio Delgado, Chris Allan and more. Plus, the one and only Kevin Eastman will be contributing a story, too!

No TMNT anniversary celebration would be complete without the two people who created it all. This oversized issue will feature a primary cover with never-before-seen pencils from Laird that have been inked by Eastman, just for this special issue! Additional eye-catching covers will be provided by acclaimed artists Sophie Campbell, Isaac and Esau Escorza, Simon Bisley, Michael Dialynas, Vincenzo Federici, Khary Randolph, Emilio Lopez, Michael Cho, Dave Wachter, and an IDW Exclusive cover by Ben Bishop.

“Having a childhood dream – in my case to write and draw comics for a living, is one thing – to then actually spending every minute of the next 40 years doing it, is a whole other matter altogether – humbling is the first word that comes to mind,” stated Eastman. “My co-creation of TMNT with the amazing Peter Laird has been the driving force of living that dream, and working with a number of really talented writers and artists along the way has made, and still makes, the journey the greatest shared experience I never imaged and could not be more grateful for.” The iconic comic book creator added, “From the raw beginnings of a 40-page self-published black and white ‘origin of’ comic, to the 200-page full color ‘final tale’ of the original TMNT’s graphic novel, THE LAST RONIN, I want to thank the people directly responsible – our fans. Without them, I would not have had the chance to live that childhood dream.”

“What’s amazing about the TMNT comics is just looking back over the breadth of the stories, how many creators have tapped in, and all the energy and excitement that has gone into the last four decades,” added Editor-in-Chief Jamie S. Rich. “It proves how great the original concept by Eastman & Laird was that it endures across media, across time, and the characters consistently find a new audience. This book tries to tap into as much of that as possible and bring back fan favorite creators to celebrate their contributions to the lore.”

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: 40TH ANNIVERSARY COMICS CELEBRATION hits comic shops on July 10, 2024, so there’s plenty of time to get those preorders in and make sure your copy will be in hand!

The fall of Krakoa will go down as one of the darkest chapters in mutant history, but Cyclops refuses to allow the X-Men to be victims. The first X-Man, mutantkind’s ultimate leader, and arguably the most brilliant strategic mind in the entire Marvel Universe, Scott Summers steps up to guide his species towards a better future in Jed MacKay and Ryan Stegman’s X-MEN.

Announced last month, X-MEN will be the first of three flagship X-titles set in the upcoming From the Ashes era. No longer living under the protection of Krakoa, it’s a dangerous time for mutants everywhere, and dangerous times call for radical action! Cyclops gathers a group of his most trusted and reliable mutant soldiers along with the brightest of the next generation to tackle the most prevalent threats to mutantkind, including an existential new enemy that rises out of the remains of ORCHIS. Prepare for a reckoning as this team handles explosive mutant-specific issues without restraint. Humanity can hate them all they want, as long as they fear them!

FROM THE ASHES! Krakoa is gone, ORCHIS has fallen…but the X-Men remain, always. Cyclops leads, because that is what he does. Beast builds, because that is what he does. And from their new home in Alaska, the X-Men raise a flag of defiance. Mutant business is their business. Join Cyclops, Beast, Magneto, Psylocke, Magik, Kid Omega, Temper, and Juggernaut as new forces in the world move into position, battling for the destiny and philosophy of the mutant species.

“Taking on the X-Men is always a daunting prospect, but I’m extremely psyched to take this team of mutants back into the world with Ryan!” MacKay said.

“When I first got into comics, drawing X-Men was THE job you wanted as an artist,” Stegman added. “To have the opportunity now is mind-blowing.”

With three flagship titles and a host of additional satellite series, the upcoming From the Ashes era will present fans with a wide range of different approaches to the X-Men’s mission statement. Gail Simone and David Marquez’ Uncanny X-Men delivers globetrotting super hero adventures as the X-Men show the world all the good mutantkind can accomplish. Eve L. Ewing and Carmen Carnero’s Exceptional X-Men focuses on the trials and training young mutants need to undergo to survive in a world against them. Meanwhile, MacKay and Stegman’s X-MEN sees mutantkind flex their strength and keep hope alive by any means necessary!

Check out Cyclops’ squad on Stegman’s X-MEN #1 cover below and follow them into the deadliest places a mutant can go this July! Stay tuned in the weeks ahead for more From the Ashes news including variant cover reveals, series announcements, and more.

With Xavier’s school long gone and Krakoa destroyed, the greatest city on Earth is about to get a huge influx of mutants, whether they’re welcome there or not! See a group of former X-Men students navigate young adulthood, discrimination, and threats bent on shattering human-mutant relations for good in NYX, a new ongoing series from hotshot writing duo Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing (Timeless, Alien: Black, White & Blood) and rising star artist Francesco Mortarino (Avengers, Cult of Carnage: Misery).

Like the 2000s groundbreaking original series, NYX won’t shy away from reflecting the harsh realities of life as a mix of iconic and fan-favorite mutants reenter a world filled with bigotry, mistrust, and misinformation. Free from the X-Men’s guidance and Krakoa’s protection, they’ll shut out the noise and overcome the hate by doing what they do best—EVOLVING. But if you can count on anything, it’s that mutants are never all in agreement, and some are having a really hard time letting Krakoa go…

This is a book about mutants living past the end of their world and into a new beginning. This is Ms. Marvel embracing her mutant life in the neon streets of the Lower East Side. This is Anole trying to keep his head above water. This is Wolverine in the shadows of Bushwick, protecting her own. This is Prodigy writing history as it happens – and Sophie Cuckoo finding her own way. The news reports are bleak. The streets feel dangerous. There’s something lurking underground. Evil coming from every direction. But they’re determined to make it. This is mutant community. This is mutant pride. THIS IS NYX!

“This is the kind of book we came to Marvel to create,” Kelly shared. “When the Hivemind first formed, Collin and I bonded over books like Runaways, Young Avengers, and the original NYX – stories that showcased that tense, wonderful place where the mundane world and marvels collided. And no book has embodied that more in recent years than Ms. Marvel – Kamala Khan is one of the most definitive protagonists in the Marvel canon, and we’re deeply honored to be inheriting the character from Iman [Vellani] and Sabir [Pirzada], while chronicling a whole new phase in her growth as a young adult.”

“The opportunity to take on these characters is both an incredible challenge and an amazing honor,” Lanzing added. “Sophie, Anole, and Prodigy have been personal favorites since their time on the New Mutants and New X-Men – in a sense, we’ve become who we are right alongside them. And returning Laura to NYX – while in a radically different context that centers her heroism over her victimhood – feels like the chance to really bring the character full circle and help her grow into the next phase of her life.”

“I was a big fan of Joe Quesada and John Middleton’s version, so I was thrilled when Editor Annalise Bissa asked me to draw NYX!” Mortarino said. “I’m so glad to have the opportunity to work on characters like X-23 and Ms. Marvel, and NYC is a location that I love, so I’m eager to deliver the city vibes that I would see in books like Daredevil and Spider-Man! I’ve been really enjoying Jackson and Collin’s scripts, and I can’t wait to bring them to life!”

Last month, fans got their first look at what awaits Marvel’s line of X-Men titles following the bold Krakoan Age with the reveal of three flagship series: Jed MacKay and Ryan Stegman’s X-MEN, Gail Simone and David Marquez’s UNCANNY X-MEN, and Eve L. Ewing and Carmen Carnero’s EXCEPTIONAL X-MEN. The expansive mythos of the X-Men has always made space for additional series that test the limits and explore the far-reaching scope of the mutant metaphor. Fresh spins on classic X-Men titles and startling directions for your favorite mutants are just ahead, starting in July with X-FORCE, PHOENIX, and NYX.

In the X-Men’s world, there’ll always be need for a team willing to cross the lines no others dare to—a group of mutants who call themselves X-FORCE! This July, on the edge of the From the Ashes era, the latest evolution of X-FORCE is born, specifically suited to this brash new age of mutant storytelling. Discover their impossible mission in the new X-FORCE ongoing series written by acclaimed screenwriter Geoffrey Thorne and drawn by kinetic X-Men artist Marcus To.

This time, this iconic comic book super squad will be built from the ground up by the mutant inventor—FORGE! Accessing an omega-level degree of his unique and complex mutant power to build anything, Forge will bear witness to everything broken in the world. Luckily, he knows exactly who he’ll need to repair it: RACHEL SUMMERS, BETSY BRADDOCK, SAGE, SURGE, and TANK. To save nothing short of existence itself, they’ll jump sword, gun, and fist first into deadly uncertainty, and the only thing getting in their way will be the secrets they keep!

A NEW PATH FORGED! The world is fractured. Forge uses his powers to devise the only fix: an all-new, all-different X-FORCE! Forge leads a custom-made, handpicked team of mutants in off-the-books missions so dire, so integral to the fate of the Marvel Universe, there’s no time to stop for permission! Plus, as Forge detects increasing threats across the planet, he’ll recruit specialists for each target. It’s a revolving door of Marvel guest stars and first up: that regenerating degenerate, DEADPOOL!

“I cannot believe the reaction to my pitch with, ‘That sounds like X-Force to us,’” Thorne shared. “It’s a new vibe and a different mission, but it’s still X-Force. Looking at all the books coming out under this banner, I’ll just paraphrase the prophet, Sheryl Crow, ‘All I wanna do is have some fun,’ and looking at what I’m getting to do and what the others are bringing, I’m absolutely not the only one.”

“When Marvel approached me to be the artist for X-FORCE, I was ecstatic,” To added. “I was always a big fan of the X-books growing up, and to be a part of bringing that excitement to new and old readers alike was an opportunity I could not turn down. And the chance to draw Betsy Braddock again is icing on the cake!”

As one of the most powerful heroes on Earth, Jean Grey’s infinite potential sets her apart from even her fellow Omega-Level mutants. This July, the From the Ashes era begins, but as the X-Men regroup across the globe, Xavier’s first student will ascend to the cosmos to fulfill her divine destiny! Behold the adventures of the universe’s newest savior in PHOENIX, a new ongoing Jean Grey solo series from hotshot Marvel writer Stephanie Phillips (Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider, Black Widow & Hawkeye) and dynamic rising star artist Alessandro Miracolo (White Widow).

During the final moments of Krakoa, currently being told in Rise of the Powers of X and X-Men Forever, Jean Grey finds herself at the epicenter of creation and rebirth known as the White Hot Room. What shocking metamorphosis occurs that leads to her adopting a new costume and taking to the stars as the PHOENIX? And with her deadly reputation preceding her, will the galaxy kneel or cower before her greatness?

She is Jean Grey. She is Phoenix. She saves the world. She brings death. One woman, alone in space, who not only must do what no one else can: she yearns to. A desperate S.O.S. from Nova brings the Phoenix to the edge of a black hole, where hundreds of lives hang in the balance…and whatever Jean does – or fails to do – will bring darkness to the universe and haunt her in ways she can scarcely imagine…

“Jean is one of the most powerful characters I’ve ever written,” Phillips explained. “The beauty and challenge to Jean is that she is imbued with a cosmic force alongside the morals, shortcomings, and empathy of a human being. The dichotomy between those two is something incredibly special about Jean, and means that she is constantly doing a dance between humanity and absolute power. So, that dance is what we hope to have on full display in this story… a cosmic ballet that shows how beautiful the Phoenix Force can be when working in tandem with Jean Grey. And let me assure you, Alessandro Miracolo has made that cosmic dance look absolutely gorgeous.”

“This is fantastic! Being an X-Men fan since I was a kid, I’m so happy to work on such an important character like Phoenix, and Stephanie’s writing has been incredible!” Miracolo shared. “Depicting Phoenix out in the cosmos and unleashing her energy has been thrilling and simply epic, and there’s also really emotional moments that I hope to make the most of. I wish I could say more but I hope everyone is excited because this will be fun!”

• In the deepest, darkest, unholiest night ever known to man or beast, Dracula, Lord of Vampires, has come to Bloodline, daughter of Blade, demanding a sacrifice: a devil’s bargain of the soul. A soul in peril? Seek a priest. A deal to escape? A lawyer. And a devil must be met face-to-face. Luckily for Bloodline, there’s one man who fulfills all three criteria: none other than Daredevil. But does he – or anyone – stand a chance against a city full of bloodthirsty vampires…and the unending night in which they feed?!

This February, enter the Wakanda of the new Ultimate Universe in writer Bryan Hill and artist Stefano Caselli’s ULTIMATE BLACK PANTHER #1. The hotly anticipated new series will introduce readers to an all-new T’Challa/Black Panther, alongside an entire cast of characters who shape this fresh take on the world of Wakanda, including all-new Ultimate versions of Storm and Killmonger! Fans can see them together for the first time ever on the cover of April’s ULTIMATE BLACK PANTHER #3, and original design sheets by visionary artist Peach Momoko.

Debuting in ULTIMATE BLACK PANTHER #1, the couple defend their people as heroic freedom fighters throughout the continent of Africa, but when Moon Knight’s army launches a brutal invasion, they’ll help convince the powerful nation of Wakanda to finally step out of the shadows!

In ULTIMATE BLACK PANTHER #3, Black Panther takes matters into his own hands and embarks on a covert solo mission to deal with Ra and Khonshu directly! Wakanda’s conflict with Moon Knight has escalated. Even with spies all across the continent feeding information, Wakanda is overwhelmed. Everything changes, though, when a pair of freedom fighters enter the fray: Ultimate Killmonger and Ultimate Storm!

“I’ve always loved looking at outfits of tribes from all over the world,” Momoko explained. “And combining the modern and tribal, the beauty and strong, is something I always love thinking about. And getting to design for Storm and Killmonger, I wanted to respect the characters and also put in my soul and unique vision into them.”

Following next month’s ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN, ULTIMATE BLACK PANTHER will be the second launch in Marvel’s new Ultimate line that was born out of Jonathan Hickman and Bryan Hitch’s Ultimate Invasion series. The saga began with the Maker, one of the last survivors of the old Ultimate Universe, travelling back in time on a parallel Earth to create a world without heroes. He succeeded and ruled this world in secret through various global factions. Now, he’s vanished and a quiet war has broken out across the planet to shape what will happen to his kingdom. Some want to control the world. Some want to free it. After discovering the dark truth, a young Tony Stark embarks on a bold mission to make things right. Meanwhile, Wakanda stirs, pressured from internal and external forces to take its rightful place on the global stage… Filled with modern takes on classic Marvel ideas and characters, the new Ultimate Universe is ripe for rich storytelling and a perfect evolution of the Ultimate brand. See it grow and develop in upcoming issues of ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN, ULTIMATE BLACK PANTHER, and March’s ULTIMATE X-MEN along with more Ultimate titles launching in the months ahead.

The colossal and cosmic time-consuming megalodon called Armaggon is trying to erase the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES from existence. Now, only the brilliant and determined Donatello can potentially stop the fearsome foe by racing back to the past in a double-sized landmark 150th issue that celebrates more than a decade’s worth of compelling TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES (TMNT) storytelling.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES #150 Cover B by Sophie Campbell & Kevin Eastman

Written by acclaimed author Sophie Campbell, the massive, epic and emotional TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES #150 is the must-read conclusion of the ongoing series – fear not, shellheads, because more will be revealed about what’s next for TMNT soon! This momentous milestone issue will feature art by ARMAGEDDON GAME’s Vincenzo Federici and longtime TMNT creatives colorist Ronda Pattison and letterer Shawn Lee. Returning for this giant issue are former series artists Dan Duncan, Fero Pe, and Campbell.

This climactic comic will pave the way for the next mutation of TMNT storytelling from IDW Publishing, but before looking forward, it’s important to visit the past, just like Donnie. IDW’s TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES ongoing series has presented fans with more than 10 years worth of brilliant and critically-acclaimed tales that captivated both longtime and new TMNT fans with its exciting and heartfelt stories.

Sophie Campbell: “I still can’t quite believe I’ve gotten to work on this much TMNT, I thought for sure I’d get the boot in the first year but nope – here I am four years later still here against all odds. It’s really been amazing, truly a dream job. I wonder what my 10-year-old self would think if she knew what she’d go on to eventually do. The fact that this chapter is ending and I’m leaving the series is bittersweet, I’ll miss it for sure but it’s time to move on and let somebody else have a shot at the Turtles, and I’ll be back for more before you know it, whatever form that might take. As two great men once said, ‘change is constant’ and ‘life at best is bittersweet.’”

Vincenzo Federici: “The meaning of this experience as a TMNT artist is too much for me to describe. If someone has had the opportunity to listen to my crazy speeches at NYCC panels in the last two years, they know that the TMNT were the main reason to make me choose this job when I was seven. And that’s it!

When Tom Waltz asked me to be the artist on ARMAGEDDON GAME I was so excited that I stopped sleeping for two days! Then, at the end of that event series, I was asked to be the main artist on the ongoing series until issue #150 and this was the ultimate blast. I was truly inspired by the previous artist’s job, this helped me to create a personal vision of the TMNT and their world. This Road to #150 is an amazing run, full of surprise and action. Many revelations will be made and the fans will be delighted by them. I feel that TMNT is an evergreen title and they are able to cross generations. I put all of myself into these pages.”

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES #150 Cover D by Jesse Lonergan

Ronda Pattison: “It’s been a real career highlight to be part of such an impressively long run of TMNT with IDW, right from the beginning. I’ve worked with some amazing colleagues – writers, editors, an impressive array of artists – some of whom I’m lucky enough to call friends now. Most of all, I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a beloved franchise and – hopefully – leave my mark in some small way.”

Shawn Lee: “Having grown up a fan of the comics, the cartoons, the toys, it’s just a fantastic feeling to have contributed, in my small way, to this quirky self-published comic turned global smash!”

Fero Pe: “As a fan of Turtles since the ’80s and living through the Turtlemania of the ’90s, it was always a dream to be able to participate in anything related to my heroes. Since issue one of IDW’s TMNT came out, I told myself that I wanted to participate in that comic. Having the opportunity to draw them, and for several issues, exceeded any expectations. I am very grateful.”

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES #150 Cover RI 1:50 by Campbell & Eastman

Dan Duncan: “The Turtles introduced me to comics as a kid, so this book was not just the job that started my career, it changed my life. I’m so proud of my time here and grateful to IDW, Nickelodeon and Kevin Eastman who let me be a part of it. Even after I left, I was excited to be a fan and while it’s sad to see something so special wrap up, I hope everyone is as proud as I am and as a fan I’m excited to see what’s next. Congratulations to you all!”

Tom Waltz: “Back in 2011, when I was first asked to join Team TMNT at IDW as the ongoing series writer, I was praying I’d at least get four issues of the story I’d concocted out to the public before I was run out of town. But before I knew it, four issues became 12, then 25, then 50… and suddenly I was at issue #100, and it was time to hand the main writing reins over to the amazingly talented Sophie Campbell. And here we are now, on the final stretch of The Road to 150, and Sophie has taken our beloved TMNT series to new and exciting heights during her fantastic run, all the while maintaining the core consistency of what makes a TMNT tale a… well, a TMNT tale. Family, friendship, relatable protagonists, nuanced antagonists, real-world dangers and drama mixed with gritty street action and fantastical adventures, and on and on. It’s all been there every step of the way for Sophie’s fifty issues, and she’s gonna wrap it all up with one mind-blowing bow on top. What a great time to be a shellhead!”

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES #150 Cover C by Dan Duncan

Kevin Eastman: “For me, the IDW TMNT Comic Book Universe is a definitive one. When it was launched in 2011, Tom Waltz proposed to bring together elements from the first 25 years of storytelling, and from all various TMNT Universes, and with the help of a small army of extremely talented artisans and nailed it brilliantly for 100 consecutive issues. Passing the baton off to Sophie Campbell for the following 50 fantastic issues solidified this TMNT foundation as the place where anything is, was, and has been possible. This wonderful place has been our collective ‘home’ for the past 12 years, and although we may see a ‘conclusion,’ but after 40 years of adventures, we won’t see an end.”

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES #150 goes on sale April 10, 2024, and will include 68 pages of story for $9.99 USD. The milestone issue will have a Cover A by Vincenzo Federici, Cover B by Kevin Eastman and Sophie Campbell, Cover C by Dan Duncan, and cover D by Jesse Lonergan.

Fans and retailers have until March 4, 2024 to preorder. For updates on everything regarding TMNT comics, be sure to follow IDW and the official TMNT accounts on social media.

Today Skybound, in collaboration with leading toy and game company Hasbro, revealed that G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero #302 has sold out at the distributor level the day it hit comic book shops.

Kicking off a perfect new jumping-on point for the iconic characters, longtime legendary series writer Larry Hama (Marvel’s Wolverine) is joined by artist Chris Mooneyham (DC’s Nightwing, Sgt. Rock and the Unknown Soldier), colorist Francesco Segala (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), and the series’ incomparable cover artist Andy Kubert (Marvel’s X-Men).

Issue #302 will return with a second printing, featuring a variant cover by Danny Earls (Batman) and colored by Jão Canola, spotlighting fan-favorite character Snake-Eyes infiltrating Cobra headquarters. This new printing will be available in comic book shops on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.

A new era for G.I. JOE began in G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero #301 with this jumping on point for new readers as your favorite characters – Duke, Scarlett, Roadblock, Storm Shadow, Cobra Commander, Serpentor and more – are back for new battles, new friends, new enemies and…THE RETURN OF THE ORIGINAL SNAKE-EYES!

The return of G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero continues the historic collaboration between Skybound and Hasbro, seeing the return of the G.I. JOE franchise to comics as overseen by visionary creator Robert Kirkman (Invincible, The Walking Dead), alongside the all-new shared Energon Universe that features Void Rivals by Kirkman and artist Lorenzo De Felici (Oblivion Song), TRANSFORMERS by writer/artist Daniel Warren Johnson, Duke by writer Joshua Williamson (DC’s Superman, Dark Ride) and artist Tom Reilly (The Thing), and Cobra Commander by writer Joshua Williamson and artist Andrea Milana (Impact Winter: Rook).

Announced in October at New York Comic Con, Marvel’s next crossover event, BLOOD HUNT, launches this May. Written by current Avengers and Moon Knight scribe Jed MacKay and drawn by superstar X-Men artist Pepe Larraz, the monumental story begs the question, “WHO WILL BITE IT?” as vampires emerge from the shadows like never before.

Across the main limited series, tie-in issues, and spinoff limited series, readers will experience their favorite heroes fall helpless to the dark ways of the creatures of the night and bravely overcome their tempting ways. United with a single vision for the first time in millennia, the overwhelming army of bloodsucking terrors will transform the world in their image by turning the lights off across the Marvel Universe. In order to turn them back on, a new world order may need to be put in place…

Today, fans can check out the first issue cover along with a glimpse at the Avengers’ opening battle with the vampire nation’s forces. Plus, get new insights into the event in an exclusive interview with Jed MacKay!

The skies have gone dark, the sun hiding its face from the carnage to come. The children of the night, the vampires, have risen from the dark and hidden places of the world as one to drown the Marvel Universe in blood. Earth’s final night has fallen – can even the heroes of this doomed world stem the tide of blood that is to come?
“I think vampires are a very fun part of the Marvel Universe,” MacKay told Marvel.com. “You can enjoy them on a surface level as adding a little spookiness to a book, or you can get as deep as you like into the long-running Marvel history of vampires, which is as elaborate as any other part of it (and the fact that Dracula is there is a source of endless delight)! BLOOD HUNT is just the latest chapter in the long-running vampire mythos of Marvel vampires—and they’re stepping out of the darkness in a big way.”

“Much like Civil War and Secret Invasion, BLOOD HUNT is a story that has been naturally building across Marvel’s comics over the last few years (and some even older stories), and it all comes to a head this May as Jed connects all the dots,” Editor in Chief C.B. Cebulski said. “As the series unfolds, readers will be able to uncover clues and go back and put the pieces together to see just how high the stakes are for our beloved characters. Pun intended.”
