Blade Runner 2049 will be in theaters October 6th and if you’re already excited about that you’ll be overjoyed to hear that an anime tie-in titled Blade Runner Blackout 2022 is coming as well! Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo director Shinichiro Watanabe will be at the helm of bringing this to fans.
Blade Runner Blackout 2022 will take place between the original film and Blade Runner 2049 during a massive power outage and with limited supplies there’s now a ban on the construction of Replicants. And thanks to Sony Pictures Japan we get this cool preview of some test shots and behind the scenes progress!
