Several legendary and downright awesome comic writers and artists are making their way to Woodstock to attend an exciting comic convention for a great cause!
Woodstock Day School Comic Convention
Comic book fans in the area now have an amazing event to look forward to. The Woodstock Day School will be hosting a comic book show on its Glasco Turnpike campus on Sunday, May 20th. Enthusiasts can look forward to getting a taste of all things comic all in one place, while also getting a chance to benefit the school.
The event will feature appearances by writers and artists Jim Starlin, Joe Sinnott, Ron Marz, Matthew Dow Smith, Richard Clark, Jennifer Meyer, and David Rodriguez, who will be on hand to sign autographs, do sketches, and discuss their work. Art exhibits will include a History of Batman, How Comics are Made, and Choosing Cover Art. There will also be free Magic the Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments, local comic and book store vendors, food, and more! Fans will also be treated to discussion panels with the guests on a range of topics, including Comic Storytelling, Painting, and Comics Step by Step.
Admission for the event will be $5 ,with all proceeds benefiting the school. Woodstock Day School is an independent place of learning for students from nursery through high school, committed to unlocking the full potential in each child.
