Hello ComicAttack.net faithful! Welcome back to my reviews (I know I’ve been slacking) for the week of March 31st. I’ve got three books now and three more to follow up with very soon, so let’s get rollin’!
***Spoilers Ahead***
First up is…X-Men: Second Coming #1 (one-shot).
Publisher: Marvel
Writer(s): Craig Kyle & Christopher Yost
Artist: David Finch (cover by Adi Granov)
I couldn’t wait for this arc to start, and Kyle & Yost didn’t disappoint one bit. In this issue we see Cable and Hope return to real time (Yeah, finally), and immediately get jumped by some crazy looking robots. Meanwhile, Scott is blaming himself for Selene’s attacks on some of the younger mutants. Cyke is also showing his great skill as a leader by placing different teams to help the situation of finding Cable and Hope. Wolverine and his group are intercepting the Sapien League who are en route to kill Hope. Nightcrawler flips out when he finds out that Logan knows what’s really going on behind the scenes as well. 4/5
Next up is…Dark Wolverine #84 (Siege).
Publisher: Marvel
Writer(s): Daniel Way & Majorie Liu
Artist: Guiseppe Camuncoli (cover by Salvador Larrooca)
Ok, so poo-poo on me for forgetting to order issue #83. That issue must have been a good one, but I didn’t get it, so I’m a little lost on this one. We did get a recap that told us that the Asgardian Oracles approached Daken about help bringing about Ragnarok. He apparently said no, and they are plotting to get their way anyway. This issue showed a confrontation between Hawkeye (Bullseye) and Daken, and its subsequent fall out. We also saw Daken come out of nowhere and rape Bullseye’s mouth. Eventually we see Daken make the decision to aid the Oracles in trying to bring about Ragnarok. 3/5
And finally…New Mutants #11 (Siege).
Publisher: Marvel
Writer: Kieron Gillen
Artist: Niko Henrichon (cover by Terry Dodson)
Ok, so this was one of those issues that was really ridiculous and just a story with no real substance other than to put a Siege banner on the book. The story showed Hela telling Dani Moonstar that it was time for payback. If you recall, Dani went to Hela to get the power to be able to stop Ares in the fight between the Dark Avengers and The X-Men (Utopia LS). Hela makes Dani a Valkyrie again so she can bring all the dead Asgardian souls to Hel. I enjoyed the art, but as stated, the story was pretty useless (even though it was OK overall). 3.5/5
Well, that’s it for now, but I’ll be sending more reviews your way in the next couple of days.

LMAO! on the Dark Wolvie review man! The New Mutants issue didn’t exactly need a Siege banner but maybe it was done to boost sales on the title, who knows
@Speech- LOL, Yeah, that was one of those shock value scenes and it worked. It really didn’t mean much after the fact and was pretty gross, but shocking nonetheless. NM was a decent issue but yeah, it could have done without the banner.
Daken has been flirting with Bullseye ever since the Dark Avengers started…just creepy lol

Speech, do you have a feminine side you’d like to share with the group? lol
