Valiant Beyond’s ‘Livewire’ Expands to Ongoing Series!

From Harbinger to Unity to Secret Weapons we’ve seen Livewire fight for what she believes, betrayed by those closest, protect the next generation of psiots, and made some dark decisions as of late. Now we’ll get to see her adventures continue in her very own solo series first announced in the line-up of VALIANT BEYOND titles! However, some news has changed for the better as the Livewire series has been upgraded to an ongoing series from the creative team of Vita Ayala, Raúl Allén, and Patricia Martín!

“Following the events of HARBINGER WARS 2, Livewire is in a vulnerable position, both literally and morally,“ writer Vita Ayala told CBR. “To bring her back to a state of equilibrium (in terms of who she is), we needed to take her down to her foundations and build her back up again. That is not to say that she is becoming a different person, but rather, that we want to get to the core of her and reinvigorate her convictions.”

Once, Amanda McKee knew her purpose. She wanted to wield her machine-manipulating powers for the good of humanity, to protect other superpowered people like her…and time after time she faced betrayal from mentors, colleagues, and even the U.S. government. Now, in the wake of the worst disaster the country’s ever faced – one that was directly caused by her hand – Livewire must decide for herself what kind of hero she will be…if she’ll be one at all.

Livewire #1 Cover by Khary Randolph

Livewire’s popularity has been on the rise lately with a much larger presence in the Valiant Universe over the years and after having been portrayed by Ciera Foster in Bat in the Sun’s live action Ninjak vs The Valiant Universe web series. So now it only seems right that we see her shine on her own so go ahead and get those preorders in so it’s guaranteed you’ll be reading Livewire #1 when it drops!
