Action Comics #968 (DC)
Martin: 4/5 stars. I’m actually liking how Lex views himself as the new savior of Metropolis. The ending was a surprise!
Batgirl #5 (DC)
Martin: 4/5 stars. The end of the first arc, and it wraps things up nicely but also adds a new dimension to Babs abilities. Fun art!
Black-Eyed Kids #8 (Aftershock)
Infinite Speech: HOLY $#!& Aftershock has put out one of the better horror comics and I couldn’t be happier!
Bloodshot U.S.A. #2 (Valiant)
Infinite Speech: How do you make an awesome comic better? Add Ninjak and watch the magic happen!
Blue Beetle #3 (DC)
Martin: 4/5 stars. I really like the relationship Jaime has with his parents, friends, & Ted Kord. Creepy sleep-walking scenes!
Chew #60 (Image)
Arnab: The final issue is every bit as crazy as you’d expect, in the absolute best way possible.
Civil War II #7 (Marvel)
Arnab: 1. This book is gorgeous. 2. Tony Stark isn’t dead, obvi, but he should be. What better way to prove Captain Marvel wrong?
Infinite Speech: Tony choosing to fight in a War Machine-esque armor was pretty damn smart but the best thing about this issue was Marquez & Ponsor’s art. That’s it.
Death of X #4 (Marvel)
Arnab: Why even publish this book? The ending was pointless, the art was atrocious. What is the point?
Infinite Speech: THAT was your big ending? It’s comics like this that make me wish there was a return policy in place because this was hot garbage.
Detective Comics #945 (DC)
Arnab: This book is great. It really is. It would be even greater if they realized Tim wasn’t actually dead.
Martin: 4/5 stars. I’m really liking the team aspect of this book, and how they are dealing with the loss of one of their own
Flash #11 (DC)
Infinite Speech: Williamson just keeps hitting us with some of the most fun Flash issues we’ve seen in a while!
Martin: 4/5 stars. Using Shade as a villain helps this second arc succeed better than the first one, & adding “new” Wally helps, too.
Jem and the Holograms #21 (IDW)
Infinite Speech: Jerrica can’t tell between herself and Jem and things are getting crazy.
Mighty Thor #13 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Why can’t most Marvel comics be this good?
Ninjak #21 (Valiant)
Infinite Speech: No matter the place, Matt Kindt writes the perfect buddy stories between Ninjak and Gilad! Can’t wait to see what’s coming next for Ninjak and Roku as well!
ROM #5 (IDW)
Infinite Speech: Among all the reboots in comics IDW has brought us one of the best with ROM!
Super Powers #1 (DC)
Martin: 4/5 stars. Great book for kids featuring DC’s Trinity fighting a bunch of different villains. Some transitions are awkward.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #64 (IDW)
Arnab: HOT DAMN! Shit just got real in a whole new way.
Infinite Speech: So Splinter just did that! This is all so good and bad at the same time and it’s great to be a TMNT fan!
Teen Titans #2 (DC)
Infinite Speech: What…the…crap! Nothing like Ra’s Al Ghul sending his death squad to kill you to start things off!
Martin: 3.5/5 stars. Intriguing story with good characterization of Damian, but multiple art styles pulls it down.
Titans #3 (DC)
Martin: 4.5/5 stars. Titans continues to be 1 of the best Rebirth titles. People wanting a return of “their” Flash should read this issue.
Ultimates 2 #1 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Chavez has Galactus working for HER and just put the band back together whether they like it or not! This is going to be good!
Wayward #18 (Image)
Infinite Speech: We get some history on the monsters but Ayane better get nine lives like every other cat out there!
Wonder Woman #11 (DC)
Martin: 4.5/5 stars. Great art & colors by Sharp & Martin and an interesting story but doesn’t actually solve Diana’s mystery.
