Infinite Speech: Ray is gone and only the nanites are left to carry out their mission in a weird future tale that isn’t essential for the 4001 A.D. story but still pretty fun.

NickZ: Whoa, this book is crazy! I’m officially interested in reading a Superman book again.
Martin: 4/5 stars. I’m really happy about the return to the legacy numbering. Art is great, story has potential for the future.
Adventure Time #53 (Boom!)
NickZ: Jake and some ghosties learn valuable lessons about youth and death.
Aquaman Rebirth #1 (DC)
Martin: 3.5/5 stars. Fun fantasy-themed art to showcase Atlantis & sea creatures. Very narration-heavy exposition.
Infinite Speech: Once again we get an introduction to Aquaman and why he’s not a lame hero. Would have been great had we just not got something similar not too long ago. Hope this is the last reboot/relaunch for a while.
All-New X-Men #10 (Marvel)
NickZ: Evan hangs out with a young En Sabah Nur and finds him to be nothing like he expects.
Infinite Speech: Even attempts to see what side of the fence this young En Sabah Nur will fall but these Apocalypse Wars issues are falling flat to me.
Civil War II: Amazing Spider-Man #1 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Well that was a set up for a story that I won’t read in the regular ASM title. Had even less fun here.
Civil War II: Gods of War #1 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Laiso’s art was great but the story didn’t keep me engaged beyond Herc’s attempt to fight the giant monster we see in Civil War II #1.
Darth Vader #21 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Can’t believe how much I’m liking this Vader story and don’t want it to end!
Deadpool & the Mercs For Money #5 (Marvel)
NickZ: Believe it or not, this was actually one of the best team books i’ve read in a long time.
Detective Comics #934 (DC)
NickZ: An interesting premise but I don’t get why they would trust Clayface and I still long for pre-New52 Tim Drake.
Martin: 4/5 stars. I’m intrigued by the book’s new team, and the dark art style was a great match. Looking forward to more.

Infinite Speech: Went into this series not knowing what to expect and it’s good to see that Spencer and Lieber have delivered quality insanity every time!
Flash Rebirth #1 (DC)
Martin: 4.5/5 stars. This is essentially “DC Universe Rebirth #2” and features strong art & great Barry/Wally interactions.
Infinite Speech: Thought it was starting off one way and glad it didn’t go there! But how is Flashpoint NOT Barry’s fault?!
Grizzly Shark #3 (Image)
NickZ: The best PSA against Tweeting, Texting, or Facebooking while driving that you will ever see! Also, Sea Bear shows up for a major throw down!
Infinite Speech: Wayyy better than Sharknado! Another hilariously insane issue that also teaches you to stay off your phone while driving and don’t talk to Sea Bear while he’s fighting!
Howard the Duck #8 (Marvel)
NickZ: It’s Bev to the 2nd power as this issue shatters the 4th wall!
Lumberjanes Gotham Academy #1 (Boom!)
NickZ: This is a match made in comic book heaven! Maps and Ripley FTW!
Infinite Speech: Fans of both books will not be let down and if you’re new enjoy the ride and have fun!
Ninjak #16 (Valiant)
Infinite Speech: This is one harsh lesson Roku is teaching Ninjak and that’s one hell of a twist if the end means what I think it does!
Poe Dameron #3 (Marvel)
NickZ: This book is really weird, even for Star Wars. I like Poe but I’m not really feeling this story.
Red Hood Arsenal #13 (DC)
NickZ: This felt so forced, it’s not even funny. What a sad way to end this partnership and series.

Think Tank Creative Destruction #3 (Top Cow)
NickZ: Exploring David’s complex character and psyche is fascinating. The dream sequence in particular was very revealing.
Infinite Speech: Hawkins takes a break from scaring us to show David’s downward spiral. Hope things don’t go where it looks like it’s going to. Nothing good will come of it.
Thunderbolts #2 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: I laughed more than I probably should have at this but things get serious when the Inhumans show up. Thanks Zub!

NickZ: Wonder Woman is having an identity crisis and I don’t think I’m down with it. I already miss Meredith Finch.
Martin: 4/5 stars. I liked the story incorporating WW’s history & how the art styles changed. Just got a little repetitive.
