With Convergence quickly coming to an end, we’re finally given an issue that is, for the most part, fun, lively, and entertaining. If this series had begun with this type of energy, it probably wouldn’t be the disaster that it is now. In addition to the change in its tone, the heroes of Earth-0, aka the current DC Universe, have finally made an appearance and are just about ready to get into the mix. Considering this series is now just two issues from ending, it seems rather late for the heroes most of us are familiar with to be joining in on the action. The fact that these characters hadn’t appeared before has had a negative effect on the story, because it had essentially prevented any emotional connection to the story and the plight of the other worlds. Like with the heroes of Earth-0, this issue also brought in many of the heroes that have been taking part in the Convergence tie-ins. The collection of the superheroes, the direction of the story, the fast paced writing, everything about this book is leaps and bounds better than the beginning issues. 3.5/5
