300: Rise of an Empire will hit theaters May 7, 2014 and is based on Frank Miller’s Xerxes graphic novel. The events of Rise of an Empire will take place before, during, and after 300 (also based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel of the same name). There will also be some back story given on the “god king” Xerxes while chronicling the battle of Artemisium. The trailer itself looks really good and seems to be on track to deliver action on a wider scale than its predecessor!
