When a crew of researchers and tresure hunters finds what they’re looking for, it usually means a big payday. In this case, it means something else – DOOM! The treasure was found, excavated, and unwrapped, and what followed was the death of one team member, a robot decimated, and the rest of the team scattering like a bunch of frightened rabbits back to the ship. Well, as you can probably guess, the Angel of Death has made it aboard the vessel as well, and it takes no prisoners. One by one, the ship’s crew starts to meet a grisly death, and amongst the chaos, the team finds out that Jesus, one of their most respected members, was the one who removed the rod and seal from the beast, essentially bringing  it back to life. Now here’s the million dollar question: How do you stop an invincible opponent that no weapon can hurt, all while you’re far out to sea, during the storm to end all storms? Want the answer? Pick up The Vault and be blown away!

Seriously folks, this is one awesome mini-series that deserves major league attention. Whether or not you like suspense, horror, or sci-fi, it doesn’t matter, because this book has it all. Even a little bit of romance as well to make it even more meaningful when the characters get their spines ripped out! Sarkar has done a masterful job, and I can see why the movie rights have been secured already! Gastonny has the right mix of suspense and horror with his style of artwork, too. The scenes where the AoD is tearing up some of the crew are gory, but totally spot on. I mean, it looks perfect for the situation, and also the panels themselves. I can’t imagine what could have made this book any better, other than maybe one or two more issues, that is. Rating 5/5
