Over Labor Day weekend, I had the pleasure of attending Anime Fest 2011 as a member of the press, which gave me the opportunity to interview many of the voice actors who attended the convention that weekend. I recorded all of the interviews and put them together as a sort of pod cast. Today I’ll be posting the second batch of interviews featuring Cristina Vee, Greg Ayres, Leah Clark, and Cherami Leigh. Each separate interview runs about 14-18 minutes. The entire recording lasts for about 1 hour and 13 minutes. Cristina’s interview starts at the 0:44 mark, Greg Ayres at 23:22, Leah Clark at 39:26, and Cherami at 55:09. Please forgive any weird sound or editing issues, as it’s my first time editing audio files. It’s basically a “learn as I go” situation with the sound program. I hope you enjoy the interviews! Many thanks to the voice actors for taking the time to sit down with me. It was a real pleasure to get to chat with all of these guys, and I hope to do it again next year. A special thank you to Cristina Vee for singing with me, and to Greg Ayres for trying even with his con-cracked voice.
By the way, if you are a fan of Greg Ayres’s voice over work, then pay heed. Apparently he has lost a costly piece of dental hardware (it’s come undone, or fallen out, or broken, or something), which will prevent him from doing voice over work. So not only does that mean you won’t be able to hear him voice characters, but also that he’ll be out of work until the problem is fixed. If you’d like to help a guy out, please go to Anime Detour for details. [Edit: Amazingly, this just started a couple days ago, and the main goal has already been met. You can still donate to Anime Detour to help others in need.]
Last time: Terri Doty, Spike Spencer, and J Michael Tatum.
