Both books are on sale in January 2011, and the spectacular cover art is by Raymond Swanland. Check’em out:

“They cut out your still-beating heart and offer it up to the gods before your dying eyes to keep the sun rising. Thus do the Aztecs serve their faith. The Shorn Ones—the deadliest, most fearless warriors ever to walk the Earth—drag Turok’s young friend Andar and the beautiful Aasta to the sacrificial altar, where Maxtla, the Aztec god-king, raises the obsidian dagger. Only Turok can save them—one man alone against a thousand!”

Turok, Son of Stone is one of comics’ truly iconic characters, popular for half a century.
• Industry legend Jim Shooter returns to the character he redefined in the 1990s to overwhelming sales and critical success.
• Inspired the wildly popular Turok, Dinosaur Hunter game and Turok, Son of Stone animated feature.

“The year is 4000 CE, twenty-one years since the first uprising of sapient Q-ROBs was crushed. A new rebel leader has arisen—Jocko, a Q-ROB engineer with a burning vendetta against Magnus and especially Leeja Clane.”

• Magnus has been popular among several generations of comics readers.
• Re-imagined by comics legend Jim Shooter.
