Hey everyone! I’m bringing you some exciting news about Long Beach Comic Con. For those of you who don’t know, the 2nd annual Long Beach Comic Con is taking place on Oct. 29-31 in Long Beach, California! They’ve got a huge line up of writers, artists, exhibitors, and more.

This year BOOM! Studios is going to have a major presence at the Con, with a huge line up of guests. The Eisner and Harvey Award nominee and BOOM!’s Chief-Creative-Officer, Mark Waid is going to be there, and he’s going to be accompanied by some writers and artists. Writers Ian Brill (Darkwing Duck, Chip ‘N Dale Rescue Rangers), Michael Alan Nelson (28 Days Later, Dingo, Fall of Cthulhu), and Johanna Stokes (Mr. Stuffins. Death Valley, Galveston, Station) will be present, accompanied by artists James Silvani (Darkwing Duck) and Amy Mebberson (Muppets, Darkwing Duck, Monsters Inc.)

“BOOM! Studios is what comics are all about,” said event planner Martha Donato, President of MAD Event Management.  “They create incredible original stories and artwork as well as expand the stories of the many popular characters from the licenses they hold.  Mark and his team are an asset that we are proud to have at this years Long Beach Comic Con.”

“The first year at Long Beach Comic Con was a blast. Martha and her crew put on one of the best, if not the best, first year shows I have ever seen in my 25 years of going to conventions,” said BOOM! Studios Marketing Director Chip Mosher. “We cannot wait to attend the show this year and look forward to doing Long Beach Comic Con for years to come!”
