The casting news for Black Panther keeps getting better with the recent announcement that the multi talented Angela Bassett will be joining the film! That’s right, the Queen of “black don’t crack” herself will be playing T’Challa’s mother, Ramonda. She’ll be joined by some of the most talented up and coming and established Black actors and actresses to hit both the big and small screen.

In the comics, Queen Mother Ramonda is T’Challa’s step-mother and mother to his sister, Shuri. She’s currently had a more visable role in the newest Black Panther comic series by Ta-Nehisi Coates and Brian Stelfreeze

So in a film that already has Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Forest Whitaker, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke and Florence Kasumba it looks like we’re going to get an overdose of talent come February 16, 2018!
