Action Comics #959 (DC)
Martin: 3/5 stars. I’m not a big fan of “two super-powered characters punch each other for 22 pages” stories.
NickZ: Action! Mystery! Drama! This book has it all! Superman is back!

Adventure Time #54 (Boom!)
NickZ: Jake and Finn in the old west riding on snails is everything you never knew you always wanted!

All-New X-Men #11 (Marvel)
Booooooooring. Stop trying to make Beast happen. He hasn’t been relevant since he was first created.
NickZ: The “Apocalypse War” story line in this series was absolutely pointless. Come on Marvel, make the X-Men great again!

Batman:Detective Comics #936 (DC)
Arnab: Hot Damn! Shit’s gettin’ real.
Martin: 4.5/5 stars. Another great issue combining great story-telling & art. Loving the Bat family character interactions.
NickZ: Seems like we are getting into the meat and potatoes of this series and I am fully onboard!

Bloodshot Reborn #15 (Valiant)civil war ii 3
Infinite Speech: If you’re not reading this title there’s a hole in your collection!

Civil War II #3 (Marvel)
Arnab: I feel like this issue was a bit rushed. Or the death was rushed. The back and forth to the court room just felt like a distraction and a disservice to the events.
Infinite Speech: Marquez & Ponsor are the true Champs in this issue! So much visual greatness on these pages.
Martin: 3/5 stars. The art looks really great here, but the tension behind the “big mystery death” was a little rushed.
NickZ: The best issue of this book yet! I need to know what happens next!

Civil War II: Choosing Sides #2 (Valiant)
Infinite Speech: Every story here can stand on its own but that Whitley & Sauvage one was a dragon punch in the feels.

Conan the Slayer #1 (Dark Horse)
Infinite Speech: Is there a day where Conan isn’t cleaving a man in half?

Deadpool #15 (Marvel)
NickZ: It’s Deadpool vs Black Panther and I promise you do not want to miss it!

Descender #13 (Image)
Arnab: This is one of those rare books where you finish and issue and immediately want to research hundreds of years of history. But there isn’t any.
The depth of character development in this book is amazing as is Dustin Nguyen’s art work!

Flash #2 (DC)
Arnab: It feels like a whole lot of death is coming. They’re all going to die.
Infinite Speech: This creative team is giving us a damn good Flash title and an overload of speedsters!
Martin: 3.5/5 stars. The creative team is clearly setting up a big Flash story arc, but this issue is mostly set-up for the future.

Hal Jordan & the Green Lantern Corps (DC)
Martin: 4/5 stars. Good story & art, but for a #1 it seems like it requires a lot of back-issue reading.

Horizon #1 (Skybound)
Infinite Speech: The creative team just formed like Voltron to bring us one of the hottest new comics on the shelf!

The Legend of Wonder Woman #8 (DC)
Martin: 5/5 stars. I’m happy Rucka is on the “main” title, but this is hands-down the best WW book out right now.
NickZ: Diana, Etta, and the Holliday Girls are so fearless! I love it!

Life and Death: Prometheus #2 (Dark Horse)new superman 1
Infinite Speech: Abnett keeps improving on this franchise with each issue!

Lumberjanes Gotham Academy #2 (Boom!)
NickZ: This book has the Lumberjanes, the Gotham Academy kids, and a magical 80’s themed birthday party! What more can you ask for?

New Super-Man #1 (DC)
Martin: 2/5 stars. I love the idea of this book, but Kenan is not likable, & looks different in literally every single panel.
Infinite Speech: The issue had me up until that final panel but I believe it the quality of Yang’s writing so I’m staying.

Nightwing Rebirth #1 (DC)
Arnab: Grayson was consistently one of my favorite books, and this series looks to be right on track to being just as great.
Martin: 4.5/5 stars. One of the Rebirth titles I’ve most been looking forward to, and the story and art do not disappoint.
NickZ: Dick Grayson’s continual identity crisis gets old, especially when he always just ends up being Nightwing again.

Ninjak #17 (Valiant)
Infinite Speech: WOW! This arc just opened more questions and a new level of cool for Roku.

Old Man Logan #8 (Marvel)
NickZ: This series has been fantastic and this issue in particular was so damn emotional!

Power Man and Iron Fist #6 (Marvel)wicked divine 21
Infinite Speech: Walker is killing it with this series and I love the decision the guys come to about this new Civil War.

Rocket Raccoon and Groot #7 (Marvel)
NickZ: Can we get Skottie Young back?…STAT!

The Wicked + The Divine #21 (Image)
Arnab: Gods slaughtering gods. What could be better than that?
: This issue gets so balls the wall crazy that some Valkyries from into Voltron! I s*** you not!

Wonder Woman #2 (DC)
Martin: 4/5 stars. Rucka’s Year One origin story hits the right beats, but the real star is Nicola Scott’s beautiful art.

Wrath of the Eternal Warrior #9 (Valiant)
Infinite Speech: Another stellar chapter in and Gilad is not here to play!
