Another issue of Ghost is out, and this time we’re heading to the end of another arc. Everything is coming together with Von Ghastly’s scheme. Elisa is tired of this new Hunter character chasing her, and her inability to find her place in the world. Tommy is trying to figure out what’s up with the box that brought about Elisa and the demons. Meanwhile, Hunter is still searching for Elisa, and a lot of people are going to die, possibly everyone, if Elisa doesn’t stop Von Ghastly’s reality shattering plans. So how is it? Let’s find out!

Elisa is really struggling with her identity issues and what to do with herself, something that’s been a common problem for her throughout the series. Like many a person with superpowers, she may find her answers in punching things. Thankfully she’s got Von Ghastly, his cronies, and Hunter still following her, plenty of targets for her to figure it all out with one knuckle sandwich at a time.

Not only does Elisa have to deal with Von Ghastly, Hunter, and her identity crisis, she’s got all these people to save from Von Ghastly’s reality rending sacrificial gateway. There’s a lot going on and Team Help-Ghost-Out are so out of their league on this one.

I love the way Von Ghastly has been drawn and colored in the short time we’ve seen him. He’s got this wonderfully cheesy makeup job that gets more and more sinister as it becomes obvious┬áthis man is a killer and maniac. Being reminded of all the late-night horror hosts is also a plus. I could look at a book with that guy on every page and be happy.

It’s the end of an arc, so if you’ve been reading, you know you gotta get it. If you’re new to the comic, go and grab the couple of issues that make up the rest so you can enjoy it all in one go! See you next time!
