Kickstart Your Week #2: Gladstone’s School for World Conquerors

Another week brings another Kickstarter, your opportunity to make dreams come true.

Without further ado, here’s: Gladstone’s School For World Conquerors Digital

Gladstone’s School for World Conquerors is a Young Adult Graphic Novel series by Armand Villavert & Mark Smith about a top secret academy for the children of the world’s greatest Super Villains to learn the trade.

Join us as Kid Nefarious, Mummy Girl, Martian Jones, Ghost Girl, and the infamous Skull brothers unearth the School’s and their parents’ hidden past.

Back in 2011 writer Mark Smith and artist Armand Villavert came out with one of the smartest, funniest, and most gorgeous books I’ve ever read. Gladstone’s School for World Conquerors presents an interesting perspective on the superhero genre, because the entire cast is filled with villains in training. Now, two years later, Gladstone’s vol. 2 is finished and ready to be enjoyed.

This Kickstarter campaign is your opportunity to be one of the first people to read Gladstone’s School for World Conquerors vol. 2 as a digital subscriber. That’s five issues of an amazing story, written by Mark Smith and illustrated by Matthew Weldon and Kote Carvajal. Gladstone’s is about 50% to its goal. They’ve got some great incentives that range from a cute chibi sticker set, to some rad shirts, as well as digital versions of volume 1 and 2. I pledged at $40 for volumes 1 and 2, a t-shirt, and a sticker set.

On the Gladstone’s School for World Conquerors Facebook page, Mark Smith mentioned that he and Villavert are currently working on vol. 3, and once its done, volumes 1, 2, and 3 will all be published in physical hardcover formats. Not only that, but those of you who subscribe digitally can get discounts, so pledge, you won’t regret it!

Here’s a preview of how awesome this book looks!

They’ve got even more pages of preview art on their Kickstarter Page, so check it out!
